Held for 3 days (between February 21 to 23, 2020), head to Agnes Waters at the Southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and just 90 minutes north of Bundaberg. Gate opens at 3pm on the first day, 9am on Saturday and Sunday. In this post, we’ll share the details of this awesome festival!
Promoted as an all weather event, things are shaping up to be an exciting event the whole family can enjoy. Anyone under 14 is free provided they’re accompanied by an adult and each adult is allowed to have two children under their care. But do take note, you can’t exchange, return or get refunded, so best to make sure everyone is in the mood for the show. You can’t share your ticket. On entry to the festival you will be fitted with a wristband which corresponds with your ticket type. You must leave your wristband on for the entire duration of its validity. Once the wristband is removed it becomes cancelled.
Chairs and tables will be provided so there is no need to bring your own. Also, water will be provided free of charge, and remember no food or drink can be brought from outside. Smoking is only permitted within the designated smoking area and liquor won’t be sold to anyone who is drunk, disorderly or under 18 years of age (IDs are required). Pets aren’t welcome – so leave the dogs, cats, or any other pets at home. Enjoy the music, food for patrons to purchase and markets with lots to see and some cool acts on show. Drink tickets must be purchased from the Festival Box Office over the weekend for presentation at the bar. Note that they only take cash but an ATM will be available near the bar. Also, glass containers aren’t permitted. There is a shuttle bus available offering public transport, see the website for more information. We suggest that you park at your accommodation location and jump on the shuttle bus. Shuttle buses are available to festival goers ($2 coin donation, one way) and have different pick up points in both Agnes Water & 1770.
